HOW SELECTIONS ARE MADE
This service specializes in National Hunt races, mainly low grade Handicap Chase and Hurdle races. Selections are derived from 30 years of experience in the game and contacts at all levels of NH Racing.
In low grade jump racing some horses will be running when their handicap mark has peaked and it needs to come down to a level where they can be competitive. So they will run when conditions are not ideal, when the trip is not right for them or they need the run to be fully fit. Many horses at this level win just once or twice a season and need everything to be right for them to do so.
Uncle Fiddlers service is about identifying when and where such events will occur. Big priced horses at 16/1, 20/1, 25/1 or larger win or get in the frame in lower grade races more often than in top class racing.
Individual trainer stats are very revealing when it comes to getting a horse fully race ready and having a real go with it. Some need a run, some are ready first time out, some need to get back to their last winning mark or back to their favourite track, jockey bookings can be a tell and so the list goes on.
Therefore, an in-depth knowledge of trainers, jockeys, courses and their statistics is essential, this is all taken into account before a selection is given.
Selections are found in two ways,
- From a network of past and present contacts built up over 30 years, who give a heads up on a horse being fit, well and going for it. That does not guarantee a win but it’s a massive help. Any information received is still backed up by form study covering all aspects of the race, before deciding if there is a valid bet at a value price. Finding horses that are ready and trying at this level is key.
- From studying form extensively and watching replays, knowing the horses and knowing how the trainers like to operate. When no heads up is given every aspect and runner of a race is looked at. If a selection is highlighted it then needs to be deemed a value price before being posted as a selection for that day. (More about value in FAQ)
Over the last five years this selection process has produced regular and consistent profits each month. Horses are only posted if they are deemed to be at a value price. Whilst past results are no guarantee of future profits, the stats of all results rarely change by much.
This service is NEVER put off by big prices, in fact the bigger the better and we would never consider advising an odds-on shot. (even favourites tend to be avoided as they rarely offer value) .
When a selection is made it is then advised as either a WIN bet or an EW bet and posted on this site the night before racing or by 10am on the morning of the race. Each selection has a DETAILED ANALYSIS of why it’s been selected and why it is a bet.
Selections are not given every day, and the site will state NO SELECTIONS TODAY. From 10am should this be the case. All subscribers will receive a daily email to tell them the days tips are posted or if there are no bets.
When two selections are given on the same day, we may recommend them as an EW double as well as singles. It is always worth following the EW doubles as massive priced doubles have been found regularly, and the payouts can be enormous for small stakes. EW Doubles are not recorded on profit and loss data for ease of reading.

Some selections may cause you to raise an eyebrow as they could be 20/1, 25/1or bigger at times. Do not let that put you off as Uncle Fiddlers service looks where others don’t and results speak for themselves. WE DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD, THE TRENDS, NOR THE MONEY. Selections are made in a cold and calculated way.
Of course, at times there will be winning runs and losing runs, but it is the long-term profitability that you need to consider, not the results of one day or one week.
